Trained under the guidance of two eminent gurus, Guru Smt. Lalitha Srinivasan (Nupura) in the Mysore style of Bharatanatyam and Prof. U.S. Krishna Rao (Maha Maya) in the Pandanallur style, Mridul nurtured the essence of these two distinct traditions enriching her dance with depth and versatility. In 1998, after rigorous training and profound devotion to her art, Mridul took the pivotal step of her Bharatanatyam Rangapravesha (Dance Debut) in Bangalore. This milestone event marked the formal initiation of her journey as a performing artist, and her debut was a testament to her commitment to the art form.
Mridul’s natural talent as an artist, her perfected stamina and versatile abhinaya allowed her to transcend boundaries, and she was blessed with opportunities to grace various dance festivals and events not only across India but also in the United Kingdom, the United States, and Canada.
